Personal Style: The Art of Looking Huggable!

My friend, India, would approve of the title of this style shot. She is always going on about giving free hugs. I am still not certain if that is a good idea. Huggable is one of the first words that came to mind when I saw myself in the mirror. I am a mood dresser. It means that my feelings dictate what I wear. I also have phases of style. Right now I am going for something between high fashion and street fashion. But high fashion in the sense of "granny-ish" and old school-ish. So I wear something fancy then trash it a little with a pair of dirty Chucks or a hood-ish bandanna or something of the nature. It is exhilarating. In this photo I am wearing my old favorite sweater dress which has gone
through several alterations. It had a turtleneck that I got rid of, and I crocheted the sage pockets on the sides. It is still under construction. I am trying to decide what to do with the neckline which is a little too wide for my preference. It was gotten from H&M eons ago. I thrifted the skirt from a Salvation Army earlier this year and it has become one of my favorite clothes. The beanie hat is my work, I call it the Yaa Beanie. The cardigan is also my work and one of my favorite things to wear in the fall, I call it the Koleki. I made the shawl/scarf for myself and it is to me like a good old friend. The bracelet is part of my Happy Koryo series. It is an abstract smiling/laughing face. ^_^
I predict for you a huggable weekend. Do enjoy it.
